Have you ever read a book where you were left hanging? Were you frustrated with the author? You got part of the information you wanted but not the full result of the character’s words or actions. Maybe a sequel comes out later and you finally get the complete picture you were wanting.
That’s what we’ll be looking at on the next episode of Pursuing Holiness Wholeheartedly. The apostle Paul wrote several letters to the Corinthian church. He gave them credit for what they were doing right but exhorted them over several issues that were plaguing the young church. Were his exhortations effective? Was there a change in the church at Corinth?
We don’t find out until thirty years later when an Apostolic Father from Rome named Clement picks up his pen and writes to the Corinthians again. It’s a fascinating look at church history and the apostolic call of the early church.
